It Seems to be Greeley’s Beloved JB’s Drive-In is Gone Forever
JB's Drive-In located in Greeley could be considered a food landmark for Northern Colorado. Last year, JB's Drive-In announced they would be closing in 2021 indefinitely.
The closure came not from the COVID-19 pandemic, but from the family's health coupled with staffing issues to serve the drive-in patrons.
Driving past 2501 8th Avenue in Greeley, you've seen the lit-up sign outside welcoming hungry visitors into JB's Drive-In since 1937. JB's Drive-In served burgers, fried shrimp, tasty onion rings, frosty milkshakes, and other items you would expect to find at an all-American drive-in diner.
When we told you about the closure of JB's Drive-In, we were hopeful that JB's would return for 2022. However, it appears that JB's Drive-In's website is no longer operational. The domain, jbsdrivein.com, redirects to a WIX landing page that says "Looks like this domain isn't connected to a website yet".
Scouring Facebook for JB's Drive-In Greeley yields no results as well.
A Google search for JB's Drive-In appears to give us all the answers we didn't want to see... A red bar with white letters spelling out two words. Permanently Closed. If this truly is the case and JB's Drive-In located in Greeley is gone forever, we are truly saddened. Many of us had great memories at this drive-in diner that we will remember forever.
