Colorado Is the No. 1 State Where People Need Lawyers, Study Says

If you're in a situation where you need a lawyer, you're probably not having a good day. Unfortunately, it seems like Colorado residents have a lot of these days.

The Patel Firm, Texas-based personal injury lawyers, recently released a new study detailing which states are searching for lawyers the most on Google — and Colorado is in first place.

The study found that 534.1 per every 100,000 people in Colorado are searching for lawyers and law-related terms, more than any other state in the U.S.

Centennial State residents search for lawyers around 31,189 times every month, and The Patel Firm reports that locals are most in need of family, immigration, and employment lawyers.

According to the study, while Colorado has the highest searches for lawyers per 100,000 people, other states, like North Carolina, Georgia, New York, and Florida, also have high monthly search volumes.

On the other hand, Colorado's neighbor Wyoming is one of the states searching for lawyers the least; however, some residents there are in need of medical malpractice lawyers.

Other states with low lawyer searches include Hawaii, North Dakota, Nebraska, South Dakota, Idaho, Alaska, and Montana.

Aside from recognizing the type of lawyers Centennial State residents are interested in, The Patel Firm didn't reveal why people in Colorado need lawyers more than people in other states — although, if you're looking for a career in law, it might be the right place to start.
