A unique event that combines the celebration of women and skiing will be celebrating its third year at a new location in Colorado after its future was briefly in question.

What is Colorado's Boot Tan Fest?

The event is known as the Boot Tan Fest and invites women, non-binary individuals, and those who identify as female to take part in a two-day celebration of skiing, snowboarding, live music, comedy, and more.

The festival first took place in 2021 with humble beginnings at Bluebird Backcountry near the small mountain town of Kremmling, Colorado. The idea was the brainchild of founder Jenny Verrochi and originally saw a mere 27 women in attendance for a ski lap in the nude.

However, as the years passed and word of mouth grew, the event grew to attract as many as 450 attendees last year, but Verrochi was unfortunately tasked to hold the 2024 festival at a new resort.

After searching across the country, Verrochi decided to hold this year's event at Sunlight Mountain Ski Resort in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

What is it Like to Attend Colorado's Boot Tan Fest?

This year's event will kick off on March 29 at 3 p.m. and will include vendors, a comedy show from Shanel Hughes, a tattoo artist, live music, and of course, a naked ski lap.

The festivities continue through the following day and organizers are currently expecting upwards of 2,000 women and femmes to attend over the weekend.

Tickets for single days, two days, and the tailgate are available at Boon Tan Fest's website although overnight camping passes have already sold out.
