After months of anticipation, the Bubble Run, which was set to take place this Saturday, May 13th at Adams County Fairgrounds has been postponed due to flooding on parts of the race course.

Colorado Bubble Run Cancelled This Weekend Due To Inclement Weather

Safety first, even if it's to the dismay of thousands of excited runners. My wife literally just went and picked up the bibs and shirts for the 2023 Bubble Run at the Adams Country Fairgrounds, when she got an extremely disappointing email. The Bubble Run has been canceled for this weekend, with hopes to reschedule sometime soon, but could be pushed to 2024... Here's what the email from Bubble Run said:

Hello Bubble Runners!

We regret to inform you that due to inclement weather, we sadly must postpone our Bubble Run in Denver on May 13th. We will be looking to find a new date this year or in 2024 and will inform you as soon as we have an update.

The email included a note directly from Adams County Fairgrounds that said the following:

As a result of heavy and continuous rainfall, many of our rivers, creeks, and streams have reached unsafe levels. As a result, ALL Adams County Trails including South Platte River Trail, Clear Creek Trail, Niver Creek, and Little Dry Creek Trails are closed until further notice. Because of this closure, we are unable to host Bubble Run, scheduled for May 13th, safely.

They went on to say that they want everyone to remain safe and that they will reach out to you with event updates as soon as we have more information. If you need to enquire about a refund or have any further questions, they encourage racers to reach out to them at info@bubblerun.com. The weather has been a bummer this week but Colorado needs the moisture so take it while we can, I suppose. Hopefully, the Bubble Run can be re-scheduled in the coming weeks and not be booted out to 2024, people want those bubbles, baby.
