Colorado Eagles Secure Home Ice For Round 1 Of The AHL Calder Cup Playoffs

The Colorado Eagles have won 4 championships in their historic twenty-year run thus far. They won two President's Cups in the CHL, and two, back-to-back, Kelly Cups in the ECHL, right before heading to the AHL five seasons ago. What's next? Umm, the AHL Calder Cup, of course.

Round one of the AHL Calder Cup Playoffs is interesting because it's a best-of-three series, where all three games are played at one venue. Meaning there was a potential scenario that the Eagles would have to play all three games in round one on the road. Fortunately, that will not be the case this year.

After securing their spot in the AHL Calder Cup Playoffs two weeks ago, we've been playing to lock up home ice for round one, which we locked up this past Friday night in San Jose against the Baracuda. That means whoever our round-one opponent is, will have to play the whole series in front of Eagles Country at the loudest barn in all of the AHL.

Colorado Eagles Round One Playoff Dates

The Budweiser Events Center will host round one of the Calder Cup Playoffs with games on Wednesday, April 19th, Friday, April 21st, and if needed Saturday, April 22nd. Tickets for all three games will go on-sale Tomorrow (April 11th) at 10 am at ColoradoEagles.com. All games can be heard live on Townsquare Media's 99.9 The Point, which is the proud radio home of the Colorado Eagles. Go Eagles!
