Another recall involves Coloradans who are looking for a dairy alternative. While it is a voluntary recall, the company wants to make sure you don't drink this particular product, especially if you have a nut allergy.

Imagine, thoroughly checking the ingredients label to make sure there are not nuts involved and end up have an allergic reaction. Not good, at all.

There have been a lot of food-based recalls so far in 2024, this one involves a widely-popular brand and a common allergy.

Lactaid Recall Involves 27 States Including Colorado

Lactaid, lactose-free dairy milk, is used by millions of Americans, including many that live in Colorado. The fact that nut allergies have become very common over the last few decades, means that persons with nut allergies, who also use Lactaid, need to be on alert.

According to CBS News, the company that produces Lactaid said that they are recalling their 96-oz containers of Lactaid, because there may be trace amounts of almond in the product.

While no illnesses have been reported so far, it may to early toy say; the recall refers to those 96-oz. plastic containers of Lactaid Whole Milk, 2% Milk, 1% Milk, Fat Free Milk, and 2% Calcium Enriched, that were shipped to stores between September 5 and September 18, 2024.

What to Look for With the Lactaid Recall

The shipments that are in concern will have the product code: 51-4109 and corresponding "Best By.." dates that you can find with this link that Lactaid has provided, generally between early November and early December.
