Those Beautiful Lights in Downtown Fort Collins are About to Come On

Fall in Colorado is a beautiful mix of seasons. We get winter in the morning and summer vibes in the afternoon. This is the time of year where you may still be using A/C in your car but making holiday plans.

We are just a couple of weeks away from one of the most lovely things that happen in Northern Colorado during the winter season.

The City of Fort Collins has announced the details of this year's Downtown Holiday Lights.

Mark your calendar for Friday, November 3rd. Find the event on Facebook and share it with friends. There will be live music in the Old Town Square followed by the lighting ceremony and the countdown for the flipping of the switch at 6:30 p.m.

Keep in mind this event will coincide with First Friday Art Walk events. This will be a busy and festive evening in Old Town Fort Collins!

The City of Fort Collins and the Downtown Development Authority are behind the beautiful lights we get to enjoy for several months each winter. These are not just Christmas lights as they stay lit through Valentine's Day.

The City of Fort Collins shares "22 block-faces of downtown will be illuminated with thousands of strands of lights in alleyways, along sidewalks, and within tree-tops. The impressive display of low-energy and sustainable LED lights can be enjoyed anywhere along College Avenue, the northern boundary of Laporte Avenue, and continuing south to Magnolia Street. Trees will be lit along Walnut Street, Linden Street, Pine Street, Old Town Square, Oak Street Plaza, and Mountain Avenue as well."
