A former Denver Broncos player has been temporarily banned from an airline after an altercation that appears to be a big misunderstanding between the player and the flight attendant.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame player was escorted off of a United Airlines flight that left Denver International Airport arriving in Orange County, California by law enforcement in handcuffs over what appears to be a misunderstanding. Terrell Davis and his family were on a flight from Denver to California two weeks ago when his son asked for a cup of ice. According to Terrell Davis, the flight attendant did not hear his son, so he lightly tapped the flight attendant's arm to get his attention. The flight attendant shouted "Don't hit me" and left the area of the plane.

Davis was then escorted off the plane in front of his family in handcuffs at the Orange County airport. Terrell Davis was questioned by authorities and the situation portrayed by the flight attendant was deemed to be inaccurate. The authorities who questioned Davis apologized for the ordeal.

Terrell Davis took to Instagram this week to reveal that United Airlines has banned him from flying on the airline, or any other regional carrier operating at United Express until a review of the incident by the committee has occurred. Needless to say, the former Denver Broncos player is not happy about the decision.

Adding insult to injury, United not only had me removed from their flight in handcuffs, but placed me on their No Fly list after it was determined I did nothing wrong and was released. While my family and I continue to have difficult conversations with our children, I will continue to fight for what is right for all passengers of United.

Davis said on Instagram. See the full statement from former Denver Broncos player, Terrell Davis, below.
