I'll be honest, I did not think I'd wake up to this much snow. Then, I found out that we are under a Winter Storm Warning, so watch out for those branches.

The National Weather Service has the Loveland and Fort Collins areas (along with the western suburbs of Denver) under a Winter Storm Warning until 6 p.m. Thursday evening (April 16).

We could see final snow totals as high as 15 inches. NOAA is advising everyone not to drive. Not that a lot of people are driving anyway, but if you do have to venture out, they advise you to keep a flashlight, extra water, and some food in your vehicle.

Also, another concern to keep in mind is that spring snowstorms bring HEAVY snow, which can break tree branches and bring down power lines. The last thing anyone one wants is be stuck at home without power, so keep an eye on your trees.

Finally cities and towns within the Winter Storm Warning include Fort Collins, Loveland, Boulder, Nunn, Longmont, Arvada, Hereford, and Lakewood.

I'm guessing that there will be some awesome 'snowman' pictures out of this.
