Is This Allowed On Bike Trails In Fort Collins?

The trails in Fort Collins are a true perk of the area. I spend a fair amount of time on our paved bike trails, but this was a first for me. Stopped at red light on Drake, two beautiful horses were on the paved Mason Trail, right next to the train tracks, passing bicyclists like it was no big deal.

Turns out this is legal and allowed, however the City of Fort Collins does post this detail on their Park Trails website:

Minimize horse travel on hard surface trail sections. Please pick up after horses on both hard and soft trails.

It was a cool thing to see and just think of the size of that poop bag.
