Closures coming up this weekend involving the I-25 North Express Lanes Project will mostly affect late night/early morning drivers heading south.

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced that they'll be needing to entirely close down southbound I-25 between Crossroads Boulevard and Highway 34 at these times:

  • From 11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28 until 6 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29
  • From 10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29 until 5 a.m. on Sunday, March 1

Drivers will be detoured east to Centerra Parkway to head south, then west again on Highway 34 to get back to the interstate.

They'll also be shutting down the left lane of northbound I-25 within the same areas from Friday night at 8 p.m. until Saturday at 5 a.m, and again on Saturday night at 8 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.

During these closures, they'll be installing girders on the I-25 bridge as it goes over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.
