We have all met the crazy old lady that you know not to mess with because she won't take any sh** off of anyone, right? Now take that lady and multiply her by 10 times and you have Margie Rhea Ramey of Tennessee... She's the lady who has been arrested for shooting at cars making u-turns in her driveway.

Close your eyes and imagine this with me for a second...

So, you are riding down a lonely road, somewhere in the south, and because you have never seen a horror movie, you will take the “scenic route,” and while you are at it, why not go into the basement alone? We’re sure your wife and kids will be just fine while you investigate that clanking noise. But oh, no! Who’s a-comin’? It is Granny, to shoot you dead, because Granny is a homicidal maniac, because “Stand Your Ground,” and did I mention it's the south?

But of course, you are thinking, Granny up there had every right to shoot people in her basement investigating clanking sounds, because of how we said you were in the basement investigating clanking sounds, because of how I am actually lying, Granny fired shots into your car full of man, wife and five kids, out of mortal fear for the life of her driveway.
Oscar Scott, his wife, and their five young children were returning home to Virginia after a day at Bays Mountain Park this past Sunday, when they decided to take the "scenic route" back through Hawkins County.

But after getting lost down an extremely narrow old road, Scott determined that the best recourse would be to turn around and go back.

He had just put his 1999 Chevy Tahoe in reverse when he heard a woman "hollering" from a porch about 150 feet away.

Before Scott could realize what was happening, a bullet had struck the passenger side of the vehicle.

Scott phoned the local Sheriff’s Office to report the incident, and Sgt. Michael Allen was dispatched to the scene.

According to his report, the woman, identified as Margie Rhea Ramey, confessed to firing her .22 caliber rifle at the car, claiming "she has had a continuous problem with people tearing up her driveway."

She was subsequently booked into Hawkins County Jail on seven counts of felony reckless endangerment, but bonded out later that night.
