Predicting Colorado weather, especially this far in advance — no easy task. But, sometimes it's fun to pretend we can see what's coming.

On The Snow has predicted opening (and even closing) dates for Colorado ski resorts for the 2019 - 2020 season.

Arapahoe Basin was open for 230 days last year, and is projected to be open for slightly longer this coming season. On The Snow predicts A-Basin will open October 19, 2019 and remain open until July. In 2018, A-Basin had an October opening as well despite a dry, warm fall.

Just next door to A-Basin is Loveland, sometimes engaging in a little who-can-open-first competition. If On The Snow is correct, A-Basin will beat Loveland by one day, with a projected October 20, 2019 opening.

Keystone, Winter Park and Copper Mountain are expected to open mid-November this year, and Breckenridge has a tentative opening of November 8, 2019 on its website.

Off the beaten I-70 path, Eldora is expected to also open on November 7, 2019, and remain open through April. On The Snow predicts Echo Mountain won't open until December.
