A judge sentenced a 38-year-old man to 29 years in prison for the attempted murder of a 22-year-old woman in 2017, according to a press release from the Office of the District Attorney.

In April of 2017, Saw Heh, a Greeley resident, shot a gun into the passenger side of a parked car near 15th Street.

He drove away in a separate vehicle, before returning to the car he had shot.

According to witnesses, Heh then pulled the woman from the parked car and put her in the back seat of his vehicle.

He then pulled into the Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, where he was seen by a police officer and arrested.

"This defendant almost took the life of a young, innocent girl on the day he decided to fire shots into her vehicle," said Deputy District Attorney Patrick Roche. "We absolutely will not tolerate this kind of behavior and he deserves the maximum punishment."
