Colorado Gov. Jared Polis extended four pandemic related executive orders on Saturday (Nov. 28) according to the Denver Post, including an order that provides a one-time state payment to those who have collected unemployment benefits due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In late October, Polis announced a one-time $375 payment to Coloradans who were making under $52,000 and had filed for unemployment benefits at least once between March 15 and October 24.

Claimants of the one-time $375 payment were required to have been eligible to receive anywhere from $25 to $500 in weekly benefits.

The $375 payment to qualified claimants was set to land in bank accounts by Tuesday (Dec. 1), although the extension Polis has placed on the order allows for more time to distribute the funds if the Dec. 1 payment arrival doesn’t occur.

The Denver Post says recipients do not need to apply or request the funds.

Gov. Polis also granted extensions on Colorado's initial disaster declaration, on an order tied to election-related work within the Secretary of State’s office, and on the COVID-19 Dial Framework - which includes the amendment that adds the "purple" level on the state's original COVID-19 dial.
