If you're looking for ways to help Mother Earth, then this weekend is for you.

The Sustainable Living Association (SLA) is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a 3-day virtual community event called Sustainable Solutions.

From September 18th to the 20th, SLA will be hosting a variety of online activities, from chats with local environmental leaders, to live local music, to a self-guided bicycle scavenger hunt.

"It's a celebration of what we've accomplished in Northern Colorado over the last 20 years," said Kellie Falbo, Executive Director of SLA, in our "Tuned In to NoCo" interview. "We really want to engage with the community and hear...what's important to them right now, and what should our trajectory be for the next decade of action that we're planning."

On Saturday (September 19), SLA is partnering with Townsquare Media's Retro 102.5 for a Driveway Jam session. Tune in from 5-7 p.m. to hear non-stop music and information about how you can live sustainably in Fort Collins.

SLA is also teaming up with the City of Fort Collins for its Shift Your Ride Challenge, which aims to get 1,500 community members to go car-free for at least one trip per week throughout the month of September.

Participants will not only be making a positive impact on the environment, but they'll also be entered for the chance to win a free bike from the City.

"Shift Your Ride is all about getting folks to shift to an alternative mode of transportation, be it biking, walking, riding a scooter...really just avoiding that one extra car trip per week," said Jensen Morgan, Senior Environmental Sustainability Specialist with the City. "What Shift has really tried to do that I've seen be really successful is, you know, you don't have to be the everything, you don't have to all of it. Start small, and take this one step."

You can sign up for the Shift Your Ride Challenge here, and participate in Sustainable Solutions via SLA's social media channels.
