Dolly Parton, of all people, is helping kids in Colorado get excited about reading. Turns out almost 2 million kids around the world are receiving books because of Dolly.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library was started in 1995 to help kids in her home county of East Tennessee. Her goal was "to foster a love of reading among her county’s preschool children and their families by providing them with the gift of a specially selected book each month." Since then, her mission has grown to a beautiful worldwide gift.

Dolly Parton's father was not able to read or write and she states that he was her inspiration.
