Fort Collins Weekend Forecast: Plan For a Rainy Memorial Day
Unfortunately, you may not be grilling in the park or boating on Horsetooth this three-day holiday weekend. According to the National Weather Service, unlike this week, the weekend will be a rainier one.

Following an 80-degree sunny Friday, the National Weather Service says that Saturday will also be mild and in the 70s, partly sunny with some gusty winds. There will be an increased chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., and continuing overnight.
Sunday, the high temp will only reach the low 60s, and rain showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast as early as 7 a.m. It's predicted that showers and thunderstorms will last through the entire day, and overnight into Monday.

2021 has been a wet year for Colorado so far, following one of the driest years in history. KDVR reported that this has been an 'abnormally wet year.' The Denver area has gotten more rainfall in this first half of the year than all of 2020 in total.
'2020 in Denver finished with a total of 8.74 inches of precipitation,' the National Weather Service said. 'That is the ninth driest year in Denver since weather records began in 1872.' The driest year on record is 2002.
