UPDATE: As of 2:26 pm on Tuesday, the suspect in the murder in Fort Collins in the 2400 block of South College Avenue has been detained. Fort Collins Police Services has released a statement:

Fort Collins Police Services is searching for a suspect linked to a shooting that resulted in the death of the victim Monday morning in the 2400 block of South College Avenue.

According to Fort Collins Police, they arrived on the scene Monday morning at approximately 10:40 am to a report of a shooting and discovered a deceased person outside at the location. The investigation into the shooting has law enforcement searching for a suspect that has been described as a 5'9" male, thin build, with a shaved head and burn scars on his face.

Police posted about the suspect on Facebook, noting that he was last seen driving away in a stolen 2014 Honda CRV that is silver in color and has a Missouri license plate TE5Y1P. Investigators are currently looking into a possible connection to a homicide from July 5, 2021. Both victims in these murders were experiencing homelessness.
