Fort Collins Man Faces 2 Counts of Attempted Murder Charges
A Fort Collins man is now facing attempted murder charges after he allegedly forced his way into a home in Loveland Saturday night and attacked two residents with a baseball bat.
Loveland Reporter-Herald reports that, Andrew Matthews, 31, forced his way into a home in the 600 block of East Eisenhower Boulevard and assaulted two people, sending them to Medical Center of the Rockies.
He fled before police arrived, but was then arrested in Fort Collins. Police did not release any information the extent of the residents injuries.
Matthews, was taken into custody by Fort Collins Police Services and was booked into the Larimer County Jail on two counts of attempted murder, two counts of second-degree assault and one count of first-degree burglary.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law. An arrest is merely an accusation by law enforcement of a crime.
