You know those gorgeous homes in the foothills near Horsetooth we all gawk at as we drive up the mountain? One of them caught fire yesterday (March 8), and sadly, it was a total loss.

This was a nasty fire. The home at 3408 Continental Circle was completely engulfed in flames, and according to Poudre Fire Authority, the house fire just west of the reservoir displaced one man. As if that's not devastating enough, his two cats were not accounted for after the fire. Our thoughts are with the homeowner.

UPDATE: You can donate to help the homeowner here.

PFA monitored the scene overnight for hot spots, reporting that one firefighter was taken to the hospital for fatigue. You can follow more updates here.
