Fort Collins Forecast: Snow Expected Every Day This Week
April (snow) showers are here, as the National Weather Service in Fort Collins predicts a cooler, wetter week ahead, with highs in the upper 40s.
The forecast shows a chance of snow late Monday night and continuing through the day on Tuesday. However, the National Weather Service says that less than a half inch of accumulation is expected. On Tuesday night, there could be up to two inches of new snow.
The National Weather service also predicts a good chance of rain and snow showers continuing every day through Sunday morning, however, at this time the forecast doesn't say how much snow accumulation is expected this week.
While we're unsure how much snow is coming, we're all a little bit uneasy about what's coming our way. Even after a record-high Easter Sunday, we're still cleaning up tree branches from Winter Storm Xylia one month ago. Xylia dropped around two feet of snow in the Fort Collins area, 27 inches near Horsetooth and over 40 inches in some parts of Larimer County. Just a month ahead of that, Colorado had a stretch of temps well below zero.
Fingers crossed that the next five (plus) days of snow showers aren't that bad. You can see the full forecast from the National Weather Service here.
