As a music fan there is always something new and great, but there really is something special about the songs you grew up listening to. For me, that was 70′s and 80′s classic rock. If I am in a shi**y mood, I throw in a little Zeppelin or Rush and take a trip back to rolling in my mom’s T-Bird. Now every Wednesday you get to take that trip with me. It’s Way Back Wednesday with Butch, and today’s feature is a song that you can hear live as they come to Greeley Saturday night (November 2nd)… Foreigner's, "Juke Box Hero."

"Juke Box Hero" was the third single released from Foreigner's 1981 album 4. It first entered the Billboard chart in July 1981 and subsequently went to #26 (early-1982) on the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts after released in September 1981.

For anyone who has ever been on the wrong side of a sold out concert, 'Juke Box Hero' will touch a chord. The real-life version had a happier ending, as Foreigner invited a Cincinnati fan that they met outside of soundcheck (and helped to inspire the eventual song) inside to watch the show from the side of the stage.

Foreigner's lone remaining founding member and guitarist Mick Jones has been at the helm of the legendary American rock group for 35 years and if you've seen the band lately, it seems like they're just getting started. You can see them this Saturday night at the Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley. Tickets and Details here.

Now take a trip back 32 years with us to 1981...
