Bucket lists are lists of things people want to do before they die. Rowdy things like bungee jumping and going to Europe usually make the list. One of the best parts of Northern Colorado is the availability of good beer. To go along with that, here are five drinks that I think every drink enthusiast should put on their bucket list.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label

Type: Blended Scotch Whisky
Cost: $229

Johnnie Walker Blue Label - Nice package!

Johnnie Walker Scotch has been around since something like 1865. The Blue Label is the most expensive of the Johnnie Walker label, and also one of the most expensive blended Scotch Whiskys available. One bottle runs $229 from their website, so you know they are pretty serious.

Louis XIII

Type: Cognac
Cost: $1,500 and up

Louis XIII

Remy Martin is the maker of this cognac, and it's one of the things you buy with friends. A bottle can cost at least $1,500, depending. The cognac is aged between 40 years and 100 years. Lastly, the decanter is made of crystal, and each one is numbered. This leads me to believe that they don't sell too many, so if you ever run across some: drink it. Don't save it.

Guinness

Type: Beer
Cost: $5

Guinness

What is this, just Guinness? You might ask yourself why a single beer you can buy at any liquor store is on the list. That's exactly why. I'm not looking for any regular Guinness, but a Guinness on tap. In Dublin. So potentially the "Cost" area up above should say something like $1,500 after air-fare. There are even multiple accounts on how to properly drink a Guinness. This one in particular is rather funny and crass.

Russian Standard Platnium

Type: Vodka
Cost: $40

Russian Standard Vodka Bottle Detail

All cliches aside, few people do vodka better than the Russians. Apparently they drink first, ask questions, shoot, and do business later. If they remember. The word "Vodka" comes from the Russian word for water: "voda." Vodka literally means "little water" in Russian. That's how you know it's ingrained in society.

Jade PF 1901

Type: Absinthe
Cost: $110

Absinthe 3

Absinthe was outlawed in the United States a long time ago (early 1900s). Recently, as of 2007, some of those laws were overturned. Some, but not all, absinthes are allowed in America. And contrary to popular belief, there are only a few that will make you hallucinate. To try out the Jade PF, you must be willing to leave the US and find some on your own.
