Officials say 27.3 acres burned around homes on the west side of Estes Park on Saturday. At least 22 homes and two structures burned. According to officials, even though many had to leave their houses extremely quickly, everyone made it out and no one was injured.

The fire burned in the Estes Park city limits, near the Beaver Meadows Entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.

The Beaver Meadows Entrance Station on US 36 was closed Saturday afternoon. At 7 p.m. Saturday that road reopened. All other entrances to the park remained open Saturday night.

With the fire now contained, crews are working to restore power to the area.
