Ferris Wheel, Tilt-a-Whirl and Bumper Boats Available at Colorado Auction

Heritage Square Amusement Park was a staple in Golden, Colorado, providing fun times to visitors for more than 20 years. Due to financial issues, the iconic park officially closed its gates in June, and are now getting ready to sell their assets as new owners take over the property. This means everything must go — like everything.

On Thursday, October 25, a public auction will take place at the former amusement park, in which they'll be selling off all the rides and remaining furniture. Besides tables and benches, this includes various games, bumper boats, go-karts, a 1977 Ferris wheel, the 1966 Scrambler, and even the Tilt-a-Whirl that dates back to 1963. Anyone can attend the auction, but buyers must be prepared to pay on site. There's a pre-viewing opportunity to check out the available items from 2-5 p.m. on October 24, as well as at 9 a.m. before the auction. The actual auction is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. It'd be kind of cool to own a piece of Colorado history, and a gigantic swan paddle boat would be pretty fun to take out on Horsetooth...
