This month, Colorado could see nearly 30,000 extra doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, courtesy of the federal government. Governor Polis said in a press conference Tuesday that Colorado will get an extra 9,000 doses per week for the next three weeks. That makes for a boost of 27,000 total extra vaccines, Denver Post reported.

Right now, Colorado is in Phase 1B.2, which includes people over 65, K-12 teachers and licensed childcare providers.

As of Tuesday, February 9, Colorado's seven-day positivity rate continues to trend downward, and below 5 percent, at 4.1 percent. On February 5, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment reported that more than 500,000 Coloradans had received at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and over 160,000 had gotten both doses.
