While we normally don't like to discuss bathroom habits, we're going to take a moment to talk about the origins of one of the biggest Pearl Jam jams of all time -- particularly, where it was written.

Trending in music news this week: Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder reveals which Pearl Jam hit was written in a bathroom. OK, you have our attention.

According to Alternative Nation, Vedder and Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard shared the story behind 'Daughter' at a show in New York last week, admitting that one of the band's biggest all-time hits was written in a hotel bathroom.

"...we were staying in this little hotel in Boulder, where was it?... Oh, it was a Holiday Inn in Amherst?' (Vedder asked Gossard.) "... And then we wrote [Daughter] in the bathroom, and then we played it on the bus late that night. The one thing about a Holiday Inn — the acoustics in the bathroom [are great]! And I thought about this: the thicker the towels are, it’s bad for the sound." -Alternative Nation

Alright, so there's the story on how 'Daughter' was almost written in Boulder -- and the reason why Holiday Inn bathrooms have such great acoustics -- but, sounds like Vedder's memory on the exact location could be a little foggy. ;)
