Dog Blog: Best Places to Bring Your Dog This Summer in Northern Colorado
Here in Colorado, we love the outdoors and we love our dogs, so you know we like both of them at the same time. The Dog People at Rover have highlighted ten places in Colorado that you and your dog will both enjoy, including a couple in Northern Colorado.
A dog beach? That sounds like something from a dream, but there's one in Longmont at Union Reservoir.
'Located in Longmont, this area charges a nominal entry fee per vehicle, but it’s worth it. Once inside, some areas require leashes while others provide ample space for off-leash running and swimming. A spot near the reservoir’s south shore is a designated dog training area.' - The Dog People
Also recommended is Estes Park. As locals, we know that there's a lot of charm and fresh mountain air in Roosevelt National Forest, but dog-friendly cabins? Yeah, you can find plenty.
'To many visitors and locals alike it’s known as the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. The small town has several dog boarding facilities as well as hotels and cabins that accept dogs.' -The Dog People
