Colorado's live buffalo is one of the most iconic mascots in all of sports, the 5th version of which is set to retire. Take a look at all that she's done in her years.

The University of Colorado has announced that 'Ralphie V' has retired after leading the football team onto the field for 12 years.

This Ralphie lead the Buffs onto the gridiron 76 times in her career including the 2016 Alamo Bowl. This season turns out to be her last; the 53rd season that CU has had a live buffalo as their mascot.

According to The Denver Post, the current Ralphie, who is 13, is in fine health but has become hard to handle. She's not responding to cues and is outrunning her handlers; so, it's time to let her rest out on her ranch. She's earned it.
