As the CSU Men's Basketball season winds down, the search for their next head coach is ramping up. CSU Athletic Director Joe Parker is leading the charge to find the next coach and will enlist the search firm, Fogler Consulting, to help find the right candidates. One question Parker has been asked the most is the possibility of hiring a female for that position. According to the Coloradoan, Parker said "I'm not closing the door on any thought."

Although Parker didn't mention her by name, one person who has surfaced as a possibility is former CSU-All American and current San Antonio Spurs assistant coach, Becky Hammon. Hammon was also a six-time WNBA all-star and has been with the Spurs for five seasons.

Hammon hasn't made any public statement about her desire to take the CSU job, but through a spokesman she said she "wouldn't rule it out".

CSU is looking to replace Larry Eustachy who resigned last week after being under investigation by the University for the second time for his behavior in the program. Assistant coach Jase Heri is currently the interim coach as he leads the team into the Mountain West tournament this week in Las Vegas.
