Crews Working to Rescue Fallen Hiker at Horsetooth
A rescue mission is underway for a hiker who fell off of a trail in Horsetooth on Tuesday (June 2).
According to The Denver Channel, the incident occurred around 11:50 a.m. near Horsetooth Falls.
The station reports that Poudre Fire Authority rescue crews have located the hiker about 20 feet from the trail.
The hiker is conscious, and crews are performing a rope rescue.
After the hiker is recovered from the trail, officials will use a helicopter to transfer the individual to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
