It's going to be a great weekend to get out to Horsetooth Reservoir to see these crazy people brave the freezing water, all to benefit the Larimer County Dive & Rescue.

It's the annual 'Polar Bear Run & Plunge,' happening Saturday morning on January 25, 2020, at Horsetooth.

The event consists of a 5K, followed by a dive into the chilly, chilly waters of the reservoir. You can register to do one or both. It's $32 for each event, but if you sign up for both you'll save $2.

Spectators are welcome; they'll have hot chocolate, a Bloody Mary bar and a beer garden.

The event will raise funds for the Larimer County Dive & Rescue Team, who'll be on-hand at the plunge, making sure everyone is safe.

The National Weather Service forecasts sunshine and a high of 53 on Saturday. The water will probably be MUCH cooler than that.

Good luck, gang.
