Colorado's Safer at Home order will officially transition to what Governor Jared Polis is calling "Safer at Home and in the Vast, Great Outdoors", it was announced Monday.

The new order will last until July 1.

The new order still encourages social distancing, but focuses primarily on getting Coloradans outdoors. This includes the reopening of public pools and playgrounds, with temporary rentals also allowed to reopen, according to 9News.

At-risk individuals and those over 65 are also encouraged to get outside. Previously, they were required to stay at home unless absolutely necessary.

Governor Polis mentioned that he doesn't want everyone letting their guard down: we must still wear face masks and social distance when out in public. However, Coloradans have built a culture around enjoying the great outdoors, and in our new normal, we are allowed to enjoy them again.
