A Colorado teenager is another victim of a charging bison at a national park in North Dakota.

According to AP News, "officials at Theodore Roosevelt National Park say the 17-year-old girl from Colorado was on a trail Saturday and walked between two bull bison that had been fighting."

One bison charged the teenage girl striking her in the back, goring her in the thigh and tossing her roughly six feet in the air.

The 17-year-old was treated by park rangers and Billings County paramedics until the Bismarck hospital helicopter could take her away.

Authorities say the teenager is in stable condition.

According to AP News, "park regulations require that visitors stay at least 25 yards (22.85 meters) away from large animals such as bison, elk, deer and horses."
