Colorado State Patrol Video Warns of Police Impersonators
Over the past two weeks, we've reported multiple instances of people impersonating police officers.
Ever since Governor Jared Polis issued the statewide stay-at-home order on March 25, police say several residents in Greeley have reported being stopped at fake roadblocks and questioned by men wearing reflective vests about violating the COVID-19 order. Police are investigating these incidents and have confirmed that no department has currently erected any such traffic stops.
Meanwhile, the Colorado State Patrol is responding to the situation with a video detailing what to watch out for and how to act if you find yourself facing a potential imposter.
Stay safe out there, Colorado.
