'When will this all be over' is something we've been asking since like, March of last year. And, while no one can give us a definitive answer on when COVID-19 restrictions will ease up and we can resume life as it was, Colorado Governor Jared Polis has a prediction

In a press conference on January 26, Polis said that he believes summer of 2021 will mark 'the beginning of the end' of the pandemic for Coloradans, assuming that at least 60 percent of the population is vaccinated.

'As you get up to 60 to 70 percent protected, you can begin visualizing the end of the pandemic,' Polis said, reported by 9NEWS.

Colorado is currently in vaccination phase 1B, which includes teachers and those over the age of 70. As of January 27, nearly 100,000 Coloradans had received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and almost 400,000 had gotten one dose. Colorado's population is around 5,000,000, so, that's roughly two percent fully vaccinated, and eight percent half vaccinated.
