The Rocky Mountains are a vast and beautiful place to recreate and enjoy, and we should consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have such easy access to one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world. There are so many activities to enjoy in those mountains but there can also be danger that lurks, whether it be a treacherous area on a climb, a surprise encounter with a wild animal or running into a creeper while camping.

There are plenty of dangerous individuals EVERYWHERE but this particular guy that was busted by the Sheriff of San Miguel County takes it to another level.

According to KDVR, a man was found near Telluride illegally camping and in possession of more than three dozen weapons.

That's a LOT of weapons, and it is a tad unnecessary, in my humble opinion. The sheriff said that the man has been arrested three times in the last two months on weapons charges along with possession of meth and burglary.

His campsite, which was set up illegally on private property, was just yards away from a very popular hiking trail so authorities are urging people hiking here and everywhere for that matter to exercise caution and always be aware of your surroundings.

When I'm hiking, I always carry bear spray and a big butcher knife with me just in case I see some creep like this roaming around.
