There's a lot of beautiful scenery and interesting things in Colorado that you wouldn't be able to photograph in Boston. Luckily for you, you won't have to go there to get a fancy degree in photography because Harvard's photography class is now being offered online for free.

According to TNW, the course covers the fundamentals of digital photography through 12 modules, from software tools to composition and light. A thirteenth module serves as an assessment for the course, and if you score 80% or above, you'll get to print off a diploma.

The course, which can be accessed through ALISON, is a bit outdated though - which is probably why it's free in the first place. So if you don't mind taking a class where the lessons on software tools aren't current, this course from 2009 is probably still worth taking.
