The Cheyenne Veterans Affairs Health Care System is planning to open a new "Super Clinic" at 4875 Byrd Dr. in Loveland by the summer of 2022.

According to a press release from the Cheyenne VA Health Care System, the new facility will be over twice the size of the current clinics in Fort Collins and Loveland combined.

Associate Chief of Staff Dr. William Holland will serve as the chief medical officer for the clinic. He is also now a member of its executive leadership team.

"Today marks the 15-month countdown to the opening of the new Northern Colorado Super Clinic," said Paul Roberts, Medical Center Director, in the release. "This addition signifies the importance and significance of Northern Colorado as an equal and distinct partner in our governance structure, henceforth for our collective health care system."

In order to prepare for the opening, primary care activities at the Fort Collins facility will begin moving to the Loveland VA Community Clinic at 4200 Hahns Peak Dr.

This will allow the Fort Collins VA clinic, located at 2509 Research Blvd., to serve as a COVID-19 vaccination hub for veterans until its closure in 15 months, when operations will shift to the new clinic.

Once the Northern Colorado VA Super Clinic opens, a total of 200 employees will provide primary care, mental health, radiology, dental, physical therapy, social work, laboratory, pharmacy, audiology, optometry, and specialty services to Northern Colorado's veterans.
