Caught on Video: Avalanche Buries I-70, Your Colorado Driving Nightmare IRL
I-70 was covered by an avalanche near Copper Mountain on Sunday, which toppled down over drivers on the highway. One driver caught the massive snow slide on video.
As scary as this was for drivers, thankfully, no one was injured and it didn't cause any wrecks. CDOT told FOX 31 Denver KDVR that not enough of the snow made it down onto the road to impact drivers, but it still looks terrifying.
FOX 31 shared a video on Instagram from Jacob Easton, who was able to stop (and back up a little) to avoid getting hit by snow that virtually engulfed the cars in front of his. Time to ski Eldora, anyone?
