On Tuesday (March 22, 2016), Loveland police and SWAT were called to a residence when residence reported activity in a home of a neighbor who was out of town. According to the Reporter Herald, at approximately 5:25 p.m. it was reported that three people were in a home on the 100 block of South Jefferson Avenue in Loveland. It was known by the residents that made the call, that the owners of the home were out of town.

When the police investigated, a woman answered the door and said, "She was there with her friends," then slammed the door in the officers face. It was then witnessed through the window that the woman unsheathed a hunting knife. This was when a perimeter was set and the SWAT team was called.

Two of the people inside the house exited, a man and a woman, with the first request from authorities. However, the original woman stayed in the home and refused to exit. Police threatened to send in a dog via a loudspeaker.

The residents of the home were contacted, and they confirmed that no one was to have been in the house, as this situation is still developing. We will update this story as information becomes available.

(Update) At 9:15 p.m. (Tuesday, March 23, 2016), the woman who refused to leave the home originally, exited the home without incident.
