Some travel the country to see natural wonders, others travel to see historical things, but me, I have traveled the country visiting bowling centers. Not because I think they have some sort of mystic to them, but because I bowled. Let me tell you from experience, you run into some pretty interesting places to say the least. But, the chain of Brunswick Zone bowling centers are always a treat to visit. Soon Northern Colorado will have one of their own in Windsor.

Ground is expected to be broken for the $15 million, 49,000-square-foot Brunswick Zone XL this coming spring with the bowling lanes scheduled to open next fall. It will house 38 lanes, and also provide other entertainment such as laser tag, a game room and event rooms and sports lounge with flat-screen televisions, food and drink to go with the Brunswick billiard tables.

The bowling center will be located northeast of Crossroads Boulevard and North Fairgrounds Avenue, east of Nordy’s and southeast of the Embassy Suites and Budweiser Events Center on the Windsor side of Fairgrounds Avenue, so the town of Windsor will collect the sales tax revenue.

This will be the third Brunswick Zone in Colorado joining the centers in Colorado Springs and Lone Tree. It will employ 130 full-time and part-time people.
