Shawn Patrick’s Lures 4 Laney-Today 11-5!
For years now we at K99 have been proud to call Kenny Cordova our friend. He has played just about every event we have put on in Northern Colorado at one time or another. Now I am extremely excited to have Kenny and the Olde Rock Band coming out to play us some music at my fundraiser coming up this Sunday, Shawn Patrick’s Lures 4 Laney.
Silent Auction Items at Shawn Patrick’s Lures 4 Laney- Bid Here
By now I am sure you have heard about the fundraiser I am putting on Sunday called Shawn Patrick’s Lures 4 Laney. The goal f the event is to eliminate cancer in children. I personally can’t stand the thought that kids are dying to this horrible disease and there is nothing we can do about it. So, lets raise some money and do some research to get rid of this awful thing. One of the ways we are rais
Mudslide Closes Poudre Canyon Monday Morning
A mudslide has closed part of Poudre Canyon in Larimer County this morning.
Colorado Rockies Slugger Carlos Gonzalez in Home Run Derby Tonight
For me, it used to be the highlight of the baseball season, the home run derby. There was something about Chris Berman’s voice and antics, and that rivalry that Ken Griffy Jr. had with just about anyone who thought they could take him on including hometown slugger Larry Walker. Everyone smiled and had fun, what baseball is all about. It’s been awhile, but we finally have another Rockie to cheer fo
Mishawaka Amphitheatre to Reopen Tomorrow
After the High Park Fire forced the Mishawaka to cancel five concerts and postpone or relocate four others, including tomorrow’s Lucero concert, which was moved to the Aggie Theatre, the venue will officially reopen tomorrow. The venue will open its restaurant and bar this week and will host its first post-fire concert July 13 with Keller Williams.
Fritzler’s Produce Stand Now Open
Glen and Pam Fritzler have some of the best farm fresh produce money can buy, they may also be some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Unfortunately, almost everything that can go wrong on a farm has this year for the Fritzler’s, but that hasn’t stopped them from opening their produce stand for 13th consecutive year.
Red Cross Opens Resource Center for High Park Fire Victims at Foothills Mall
Over the last few weeks we have told you about and volunteered to help out at the Adventist Disaster Response distribution center in the Foothills Mall to help those affected by recent wildfires in Northern Colorado. Now the American Red Cross has also set up shop at the mall to provide a one-stop location for fire victims to find the assistance and resources they need to move forward.
Colorado Motorcycle Drivers Among Worst in the Country
“Look twice. Save a life.” A statement you hear many bikers referring to, but it also goes for the person on the motorcycle. Unfortunately with the fun and excitement of riding a motorcycle comes danger. Not every state is created equal when it comes to motorcycle safety. Several states fared far worse when it came to motorcycle accidents. One of those states happens to be Colorado.
Creedence Clearwater Revisited Get the Greeley Stampede Rockin’ Tonight
Sure, that title there doesn’t say Creedence Clearwater Revival, it says Creedence Clearwater Revisted. So it’s not the same CCR we have come to know, but it is still CCR. The revisited version of CCR doesn’t have the Fogerty brothers, but does feature the other two original CCR members. Tonight they bring the songs we have come to love off the more than 26 million albums they have sold to the Gre
The Colorado Ice Season Ends With a Loss In the First Round of the Playoffs
The Tri-Cities Fever have not been very nice to the Colorado Ice lately. That trend continued last night in Kennewick, Washington as the Fever bounced the Ice from the playoffs and ended their season for the second year in a row with a 52-42 win in the first round of the Indoor Football League (IFL) Playoffs.
Shawn’s Demolition Derby Experiences [PICTURES]
Growing up in Greeley meant that the end of June and beginning of July was time for fun. The Greeley Stampede was a tradition for my family and I, and like many one of my favorite events growing up was the demolition derby. My uncle, Donny Steinmetz, always drove the K99 car and watching as a little kid I knew someday I too wanted to drive in the derby. My dream came true a few times.
Tim Tebow Wins Good Guy Award
There are certain things that are arguable when it comes to Tim Tebow, one of the things that you can’t deny is that he is genuinely a good guy! For the first time, but probably not the last, Tebow has won the 2011 Good Guy Award given by the Professional Football Writers of America.
