The Colorado Rockies (36-57) ended their three-game losing streak with Jordan Pacheco’s 12th inning RBI single, propelling the team to an 8-6 win over the San Diego Padres (40-56) last night in California. BREAKING: Aurora Theater Shooting Kills 12, Injures 50
Details continue to emerge from Aurora this morning, following a shooting at at a mall movie theater around 1 a.m. during a showing of ‘Batman: Dark Knight Rises.’ Police said 12 people were killed and another 50 injured.
More than 250 responded to the theater, where one person, recently identified as 24-year-old James Holmes, was taken into custody.
Rockies Enter All-Star Break With 4-3 Win Over Nationals
The Colorado Rockies (33-52) put an end to Part I of the 2012 MLB season with a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over the Washington Nationals (49-34) yesterday in DC. With the win, Colorado enters the All-Star break with a series win over Washington, who owns the best record in the National League. 2:18am – US 34 is now open five miles west of Loveland where it had been closed since 6pm Saturday for mudslide cleanup. All lanes of I-25, both NB and SB are also open near Danono after being closed Saturday evening due to standing water.

Alex White gave up four runs in three innings, and Colorado was unable to score until a ninth inning rally that came up short. Official ‘High Park Fire’ Information [UPDATED 11:18am]
The High Park Fire, first reported June 9th fifteen miles west of Fort Collins, is being reported as 45% contained. As of the last update the fire had grown to 82,000+ acres, and new evacuations have been ordered for the area. Several roads remain closed, one fatality has been confirmed, and 191 homes have been destroyed. There are now more than 1900 firefighters on the ground battling the blaze.
