I was born in Boulder, Colorado; grew up in the greater Chicago area (630 come at me); and moved to Fort Collins to go to school. Moving around has helped me appreciate how wonderful the Northern Colorado area really is. Everyone who lives here should know that they are blessed. Graduating from Colorado State University in December 2013 with a Communications major and a technology minor. Writing things for the web is a wonderful transition into what people call the 'real world.' I love music, interning at a radio station is probably a dream come true. My favorite fruit is watermelon. I have the travel bug. I believe that getting out into the world and experiencing it rids us of our prejudices and the negative connotations that we hear and grow up with. I am a big fan of Northern Colorado's brewing environment. Right now listening to music (all different kinds; rock, hip-hop, country, jazz, oldies) writing, working, hanging out with friends is life. It's a pretty good one.

Strange New Hobbies
Hobbies like building small-scale ships in bottles and wood-carving are (some would say) normal hobbies. Some people have hobbies like stuffing animals or knitting or getting tattoos or grooming their dog. Other people have hobbies where they change the way the world looks. Swimming the English Channel is no small feat. The list tops out at 2,671 people who have successfully completed the swim. That number is less than the number of people who have climbed Mount Everest (3,142). It seems like a bigger deal now, doesn’t it? But on top of that, can you imagine your grandparents swimming 21 miles? We sat down with George Thorton, a Fort Collins local who is attempting t

The Perks of Being a Dick-Head
While I don't condone being a jerk just for the sake of being a jerk, or arguing just to argue, some people know how to turn the situation into a humorous goldmine. Case in point: David Thorne. An Australian graphic-designer who describes himself as: "Amongst my qualities, which include reciting prime numbers backwards from 90956, reading to blind children & training seals, embellishment

The President of Russia is a Badass
Not everyone agrees with Vladimir Putin and his Presidential tactics, but you can't please everyone. Aside from being a leader for (still kind of) Communist Russia, he also has a pretty active social life for a President (no, we don't mean his petty-theft accusations). He's not quite the baby-kissing and golf-playing type, more like the tiger-hunting and deep-sea-diving-for-treasure-type. Check o
