Armed Carjacking Suspects Last Spotted in Greeley
Armed carjacking suspects were last seen driving eastbound on Highway 34 into Greeley this weekend.
The Boulder County Sheriff's Office reported an armed robbery and carjacking occurred in the area of Panorama Point in Boulder County around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday.
A male and female victim said two young males approached their parked 2005 Lexus RX330 sport utility vehicle. One of the male suspects displayed a handgun and demanded the victims' phones, wallet and vehicle.
The suspects, described as two young white or Hispanic males around 18-20 years old, then fled in the vehicle. The suspects reportedly shot their handgun several times as they were fleeing.
The vehicle was later spotted in Lafayette.
When Lafayette Police officers and Boulder County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the suspects swerved around a patrol car and fled along South Boulder Road, then to Highway 287, according to a press release.
The Colorado State Patrol joined in the pursuit, which eventually ended in the area of the Erie Parkway exit, with the suspects continuing northbound on I-25, according to the press release.
The suspect vehicle was last seen driving eastbound on Highway 34 into Greeley.
