Andrew McMahon was in Denver last week with Jack's Mannequin, and since he didn't bring 'the Wilderness' with him this time, we brought it to him.

I've been a McMahon fan from Something Corporate to Jack's Mannequin to Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Jack's Mannequin's Everything in Transit came out on August 23, 2005, which I'm pretty sure coincided with my first day of high school, so it was pretty surreal for me to get the opportunity to hang out with him before his ten year reunion tour stop in Denver.

Though he is currently out performing all of our favorite aught anthems like 'The Mixed Tape' and 'Dark Blue,' McMahon's most recently-formed band, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, will be on the road this summer with Panic! At The Disco and Weezer, so I wanted to hone in on that when we met.

Doubled over a trash can spitting up a mouth full of marshmallows in McMahon's dressing room was not something I anticipated, but eh, these things happen.

I really was pleasantly taken aback by how down to earth McMahon is. He was really up for any kind of crazy thing I threw at him (and believe me, I did). And Dad, he totally rocked your fishing vest so I guess it is kind of cool now.
