Northern Coloradans saw temperatures drop by almost 40 degrees going from Sunday night into Monday morning.

The cold front brought along snow and ice, causing slick roads and much slower drives.

But the National Weather Service forecast has some good news — much nicer weather is on the way.

Temperatures are expected to get back up above 50 on Tuesday and could even see 60 on Wednesday.

These comfortable temperatures could be here for a while, with the future forecast calling for temps to remain above 55 for more than a week.

According to AccuWeather, the average high in Fort Collins around this time of year in the low 50s.
