The Poudre Canyon is part of the many golden nuggets we value in Northern Colorado. Luckily there is a group of volunteers who make it a priority to be there, if anyone needs help. They are the Poudre Canyon Volunteer Fire/EMS Department. Show your support for these individuals by attending the 6th Annual Pig Roast Fundraiser coming up August 25th at the Swing Station in Laporte. The event is from 3pm to 10pm, with a suggested $20 donation at the door.

There will be 2 pigs slow roasted over local hardwood, pie from Me Oh My pie and many sides from various local donors. Live music is from 6pm to 9pm with Goodnight, Texas.

According to their Facebook page:

The Poudre Canyon Volunteer Fire/EMS Department serves the residents and visitors of the Poudre Canyon in Bellvue, Colorado. The canyon is home to 500 full time residents with a summertime population of 1,500 and is host to nearly 300,000 visitors annually. These visitors engage in all sorts of activities including fishing, boating, hiking, mountain biking, sightseeing, motorcycling and back country weekend getaways at one of our mountain resorts. Many of our emergency calls are to assist these visitors.
